Student speakers on the Appalachian Service Project
Joey Keating, Liam Keating and Matthew Stangarone told the club about a week spent repairing a home for a disabled homeowner, and why they are going back.
Our guest speakers, Joey Keating, Liam Keating and Matthew Stangarone, shared their experience repairing a home for a disabled homeowner last summer as part of the Appalachian Service Project, along with a photo album of their week. The experience has motivated them to go back and keep helping.
The Appalachian Service Project makes homes warmer, safer and drier for Appalachian families: providing critical repairs, building new homes where repair is impossible, and empowering youth and adult volunteers to take on high-impact work. The project is one of the beneficiaries of our Generous Pour fundraiser.
